After a Near-Death Experience, how to live better and support others?

People who go through a Near-Death Experience (NDErs) often need time to accept what happened and can suffer.

Over several years, most transform: they feel a greater joy for life, become more serene, curious, and more spiritual.

They develop new relational—even extrasensoryabilities, become more tolerant, and turn more toward others.

Nearly half of NDErs struggle to accept what happened and may suffer:

  • A conviction of having a mission and not finding it

  • Frustration about the meaning of their experience

  • Difficulty sharing and expressing what they live through

  • A feeling of no longer fitting in or being “in place”

Who is EMIste.com ?

I am Philippe Malbrunot. Thirty-five years ago, my life changed forever with an NDE that left me with many unanswered questions. For years I buried the event, unable to understand or integrate it.

In November 2022, reading “This Life and Beyond” by Dr. Christophe Fauré upended my beliefs and values. The testimonies in that book resonated with me, helping me understand and integrate my own experience, and paving the way for a liberating integration of my NDE.

Guided by this newfound awareness, I decided to use my digital consultancy skills to create a resource and exchange platform—a place to share, heal, and progress on our personal journeys.

Today I’m delighted to announce that this platform will soon open. It is designed to accompany those who have lived through altered states of consciousness, experienced loss, faced end-of-life, and anyone interested in these topics. It will also serve the scientific community as a source of information and data.

I’m currently bringing together a community of experts and interested individuals whom I look forward to featuring soon.

You can read my full testimony here.

Is there a spiritual or religious movement behind EMIste.com?

EMIste.com is not affiliated with any religious practice, spiritual movement, or sect. We respect each person’s intimate spiritual or religious sphere and never engage in proselytism.

However, we cannot ignore the intrinsic spiritual dimension of Near-Death Experiences. These can be profound inner journeys. While many pursue spirituality to escape reality, NDErs often follow a different path.

Returned from the threshold between life and death, NDErs seek to live fully in the material world while remaining connected to the unseen. Their goal is not to detach from reality but to infuse more harmony into the world and make it better.

If EMIste.com aligns with any approach, it is altruistic and scientific. Our content and exchanges also aim to support scientific research on NDEs and the complex enigma of consciousness.

Let us keep our feet on the ground while connecting our hearts and souls.

Let us keep our feet firmly on the ground, while connecting our heart and our soul.

EMIste.com is a neutral space, free from ties to specific religious or spiritual currents. We respect individual beliefs without encouraging proselytism or conversion.

Recognition of the Spiritual Dimension :

While unaffiliated, we acknowledge the deep spiritual aspects of NDEs and other altered states—often described as profound inner voyages that challenge our understanding of existence.

Integration & Harmony :

We champion a balance between engagement in the material world and openness to the unseen. We encourage full presence in everyday life while maintaining a conscious link to the universal Self. Our vision promotes synergy between deep inner experience and active participation in the world.

Altruistic & Scientific Commitment :

Our mission is both supportive and contributive: we aim to help those affected by NDEs and to enrich scientific research by providing a platform for study and data collection on consciousness.
